FUME SCANS - JUJUTSU KAISEN has released 12 new character visual posters for the Culling Game Arc Part 1 (Season 3), ahead of Season 4.

It was previously announced that Takeru Sato, who served as assistant director for Season 3, will also direct this new season. Shota Goshozono is credited as the lead director.

Sato commented: "I feel the weight of the responsibility entrusted to me with a title of this significance every single day. I draw great strength from the passion and collective effort of the staff and cast who have supported Jujutsu Kaisen up to this point."

The JUJUTSU KAISEN manga by Gege Akutami officially concluded on September 30, 2024. The series ran for six and a half years, beginning in March 2018, and concluded its story across 30 volumes. Volumes 29 and 30 were both released on December 25, 2024.

VIZ Media holds the English-language license for the manga. Studio MAPPA animated both seasons of the TV anime as well as the film, while Crunchyroll handles the streaming.

The story follows Yuji Itadori, a boy with extraordinary physical abilities who ends up joining a school for jujutsu sorcerers after encountering Megumi Fushiguro, Satoru Gojo, and Ryomen Sukuna.

To delay his execution—a consequence of consuming one of Sukuna’s fingers—Yuji takes on the task of locating and consuming the remaining 19 fingers of the "strongest sorcerer in history" in an attempt to eliminate him.

However, things do not go as smoothly as they had hoped. The Jujutsu Kaisen spin-off manga Modulo began as a short-term serialization in the 41st issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, released on September 8, 2025.
