FUMESCANS - Kaiju No. 8: The Movie will officially conclude the anime series as a feature film, scheduled for release in 2027, bringing the series to its final chapter on the big screen.

The film will follow the first two seasons of the TV anime and serve as the finale for the entire adaptation. This announcement was made during Jump Festa 2026, alongside the reveal of a four-episode special titled Narumi's Week at Work.

A teaser visual was released alongside the announcement, featuring the tagline: "The era of humanity comes to an end." Studio Production I.G returns to handle the animation production for the film.

Masaya Fukunishi, the voice actor for Kafka Hibino, commented:

Studio Production I.G is returning for the animation, with Studio Khara once again responsible for the creature designs. The anime series has released a total of 23 episodes between April 13, 2024, and September 27, 2025.

The Kaiju No. 8 manga, created by Naoya Matsumoto, began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform. The manga series officially concluded in July with Chapter 129 and has been compiled into a total of 16 volumes. Viz Media publishes it in English, with the following story description:
