What Is Anime?

Anime is a term commonly used for Japanese animated productions and covers a broad spectrum of genres, including fantasy, action, romance, comedy, science fiction, mystery, and drama. Anime is created for audiences of different ages rather than being limited to children's entertainment.

Many anime series are adaptations of manga, light novels, games, or other forms of Japanese media, while others are developed as original productions. Their stories can range from short comedic adventures to long-running narratives featuring complex characters, expansive worlds, and serialized plots.
