FUME SCANS  - The manga The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity by Saka Mikami will celebrate its fifth serialization anniversary with a large-scale exhibition held in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka.

Titled the "The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity 5th Anniversary Exhibition," the event will showcase original artwork revisiting episodes and moments from the series. This event also marks Mikami's first large-scale exhibition.

The Tokyo exhibition will run from October 16 to November 9, 2026. Osaka will follow from December 11, 2026, to January 11, 2027, and the Fukuoka venue will be open from January 29 to March 1, 2027.

Saka Mikami writes and illustrates the manga series The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku), which began serialization on Kodansha's "Magazine Pocket" website and app in October 2021 and surpassed 10 million copies in circulation by December 2025. As of September 9, 2026,

17 volumes have been released; Kodansha also publishes the series in English. Studio CloverWorks is responsible for the anime adaptation.

The story follows Rintaro, a second-year student at Chidori High School—a school for boys with the lowest academic standing—who helps out at his family's cake shop. One day, he meets Kaoruko, a kind-hearted girl who quickly becomes his friend.

However, complications arise when Rintaro discovers that Kaoruko attends Kikyo Girls' High School, a prestigious institution for the children of wealthy families. As their friendship grows, they must face challenges and intrigues from their classmates to stay together.
